Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi, also known as the Zou Students’ Association, serves as the welfare organization for students of the Zou Tribe. Initially founded as the Zomi Sangnaupang Pawlpi (Zomi Student’s Welfare Association), this organization began in 1958 and was formally registered in 1972. Its mission is to offer Zou students the chance to learn, participate, lead, hone skills, and advocate for the interests of the Zou tribe. The main headquarters is in Zoveng, Lamka, PO Churachandpur, Manipur, India.
The term SANGNAUPANG translates to students or individuals pursuing education in schools, colleges, and universities across various disciplines. However, on a broader level, the word encompasses individuals from diverse backgrounds, including both the young and the old, as well as students and non-students, who actively contribute to the Zomi Sangnaupang Pawlpi's endeavours. Thus, it has evolved into a lifelong commitment.
